Plenny Slone Monday, April 20, 1936 - Tuesday, September 19, 2017

Plenny Slone Saltville, VA Plenny Slone, age 81, went to be with the Lord Tuesday September 19, 2017. He joined Old Regular Baptist Church on July 9, 1972 and was a member of the Papaw Old Regular Baptist Church. Plenny was a retired coal miner and loved fishing and being out doors. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Lydia Slone; daughter, Mary Magdalene Slone; brothers, Elec Slone and Johnny Slone; sister, Gustie Slone. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Bonnie Sue Slone; son, Michael Lee Slone (Rose) of Damascus, VA; daughter, Patricia Ann Eller (J. Paul) of Mountain City, TN; sister, Ethel Collins of Kimper, KY; grandchildren, Anthony Dotson, Klarrissa Eller, Nicholas Eller; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Stephanie Broady, Penny McCarty Manual Taylor. Special thanks to Amedisys Home Health. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 23, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home with Elders Jackie Yates and Terry O’Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 Thursday and Friday evenings.
