John Timothy Gregory - Sunday, April 16, 2017

John Timothy (Tim) Gregory, age 53, formerly of Old Plank Road, Charlotte, NC,. passed away on April 16, 2017 at his home in Saltville, Va. Tim was a special individual in many ways, who was very much loved by his family and friends, and who will forever hold a special place in their hearts. He was known for always having a smile and for passing his good cheer along to others. He was known for his love of fire trucks, oil trucks, heavy equipment, and observing construction activity of any kind. Being around Tim brought out the best in other people, and he blessed many lives in that way. He had an extensive collection of model fire trucks and oil trucks thanks to his friends and family who enjoyed pleasing him with them, and he was rarely seen without two or four of them in his hands. He loved church services, often watching televised services on Sunday mornings when not able to attend in person; though unable to read, he sat with an open bible on his lap as he watched. No doubt he understood the significance of what he saw and heard. He had a grand appreciation for religious music, and sang along boisterously with any song accompanied by piano or organ. The family would like to thank all the special people in Tim’s life who treated him with such great kindness and who showered him with affection. You know who you are. Also know that you are appreciated and your kindness is remembered. Scott: We are so sorry to hear about your brother. From the obit and the condolences posted it is obvious he was well loved and gave back that love to all around him. May all of your memories be fond ones.

We will miss you Tim. Your smile and your trucks. Say hi to Uncle Jack (dad) for me. I know he is happy to see you with your new body and mind.

Tim was a wonderful man who I have fond memories of playing cars and trucks with at Uncle Reece's growing up! I am sorry that he is gone, but glad that I had the privelage to know him. The world is a little bit darker today, but his light still shines on and will continue to through those that knew him. Get 'em, Tim! Get 'em!

Lois and family, so sorry to hear about your stepson. May GOD Bless and comfort you all.

Timmy was such an inspiration and joy - the kind of person who made you feel the world is truly a good place.

I feel treasured by God that I was able to spend some of this life seeing his smile

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have spent evenings listen to stories of him. They were all accompanied with smiles and told with love, tenderness, and wonder.

To our Beloved Cousin and Buddy. We will never forget your smile, your warmth, and your honesty.  We will hold you in our hearts and minds forever.  We know that you are happy with your God and your parents.
