James G. Coe Saturday, September 15, 1934 - Wednesday, April 19, 2017

Glade Spring, VA James G. Coe, age 82, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday April 19, 2017. He was a member of the Chilhowie First Church of God, retired insurance agent with American General Insurance and enjoyed playing golf with his friends. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Coe; parents, William and Rosa Coe; siblings, Thomas E. Coe, Alex Sexton Coe, Stella Davidson, Helen Petty, William H. Coe, Avery Jack Coe and Edith Dye. He is survived by daughter Elaine Coe, daughter Maria Olinger and her husband Ron, son Blake Coe and his wife Holly, granddaughter Angie and her husband Dickie, granddaughter Carrie Olinger, grandsons Joshua and Jacob Coe, great granddaughters Tana & Emma Wilson and great grandson Mason Battaglia and great great granddaughter Macie Lee Hale, brother Roy Lee Coe and wife Millie, sister-in-law Lois Coe, brother-in-law Roger Crouse and wife Pat. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday April 21, 2017 at Chilhowie First Church of God with Rev. Bobby Dunn, Rev. Rick Hayes and Rev. Bob Neace officiating. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mount Rose Cemetery. The family will receive from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Brother Jim Coe was a good friend of my parents and also attended my church. He was a good Christian man and will be missed! Love and prayers to the whole family!
